I have written articles, pondered with colleagues and played with a lot of people to look at how we can support businesses to play with rules of the game, and enable them to find ways of playing their own game. What I aim to do when working with a business is to raise their game- and in order to this people have to be fired up, confident and passionate about what they do.
Lately I have set homework after a session to get those businesses to write a manifesto. A manifesto is a public statement of views and intentions to get everyone moving and taking action. Just like a great game, a manifesto should get the heart beating and make everyone want to jump on board and join the adventure.
I am hoping to receive some of these soon, and as I do I will be posting them on the In Movement community. One of the most challenging parts of writing a manifesto is the fact that this is a public document- it is written to be shared, and this often gets in the way of people writing them.
After a coffee with a friend and colleague of mine we set ourselves a deadline to get ours done. I have had mine in various forms, since I started In Movement- but never made it public.
